Privacy Policy

Last updated May 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Finvue LLC ("Finvue", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use Finvue at getfinvue.com. Finvue is currently offered as an Early Access product.

1. About Finvue

Finvue helps bookkeepers and accounting professionals upload or import financial data — including by connecting QuickBooks Online — and generate client-ready reports, KPIs, PDFs, and AI-assisted commentary. We process data on behalf of our users to deliver those reporting features.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information. Name, email address, password (hashed), and basic profile and workspace settings.
  • Client and financial data. Files you upload (such as trial balances and financial statements) and data you import from QuickBooks Online, including general ledger accounts, balances, and related metadata required to generate reports.
  • QuickBooks connection data. OAuth tokens and the QuickBooks company (realm) identifier for companies you connect. Tokens are stored encrypted server-side and are used only to fetch the financial data needed to produce your reports.
  • Billing information. Subscription status, plan, and billing identifiers. Card details are handled directly by Stripe; Finvue does not store full card numbers.
  • Usage and device data. Log data such as IP address, browser/device information, pages viewed, and actions taken, used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • Support communications. Messages you send us and any attachments you choose to share.

3. How we use information

  • To provide the core service: reporting, AI commentary, PDF/report generation, mapping, and related features.
  • To access QuickBooks Online data only after you authorize the connection, and only for the company you authorized.
  • To authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
  • To process subscriptions and payments through Stripe.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To improve product quality, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or your clients' financial data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

4. QuickBooks Online data

Finvue accesses QuickBooks Online data only after you (or an authorized user) complete Intuit's OAuth authorization for a specific company. We use that access solely to retrieve the financial data needed to generate reports inside Finvue. You can disconnect a QuickBooks company at any time from your Finvue settings or from your Intuit account; once disconnected, Finvue stops fetching new data from that company.

5. AI-assisted commentary

Some Finvue features use third-party AI models to generate narrative commentary from aggregated financial figures. When this happens, the minimum data required to produce the commentary is sent to the model provider over an authenticated connection. We instruct providers not to use submitted content to train their general models where that option is available.

6. Third-party processors

We rely on a small set of trusted service providers to operate Finvue, including:

  • Cloud hosting and database/storage providers used to run the application.
  • Intuit / QuickBooks Online — financial data source you authorize.
  • Stripe — subscription and payment processing.
  • AI model providers — generating report commentary on request.
  • Email and notification providers — transactional emails and support communications.

These processors only receive the information needed to perform their function and are bound by their own terms and privacy obligations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest, including encryption of QuickBooks connection tokens server-side, scoped database access controls, and authenticated APIs. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim certifications such as SOC 2 or HIPAA. You are responsible for safeguarding your own login credentials.

8. Data retention

We retain account information, uploaded financial data, generated reports, and connection records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your workspace data at any time by emailing support@getfinvue.com. Some records (such as billing and security logs) may be retained for a limited additional period to comply with legal, accounting, or security obligations.

9. Your choices and rights

  • You can update your account details from your settings.
  • You can disconnect QuickBooks at any time from Finvue or from your Intuit account.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account.
  • You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support@getfinvue.com.

10. Children's privacy

Finvue is a professional tool intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. International users

Finvue is operated from the United States. If you access the service from another country, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you in-product or by email.
